Department of Textile Engineering
Our department with its experienced academic staff aims to educate scientists, who have knowledge and skills, investigative personality, analytical thinking, professional ethics, aware of responsibilities, group-oriented and hardworking, appropriate to the expectations of the sector, by considering the needs of the textile industry. For this purpose, students will gain the ability to access, evaluating and interpreting information by doing scientific research.
Education and research subjects in our department are as following; Statistical analysis in textile, yarn structures and production techniques, yarn mechanics, textile tests, fabric geometry, technical textiles, textile solid models, knitting technology, textile design systems and product development, physical analysis of weaving and weaving techniques, textile sources of error and control, back transformation, color measurement, dyestuff chemistry, textile auxiliaries, instrumental analysis, production process analysis, order and inventory management, fabric attitude measurement and evaluation, luxury fibers and finishing processes, textile dyeing, dyeing applications of nanotechnological products, quality systems, clothes comfort.
Our vision as a department; is to be an education and training institution that provides education at the national and international level, conducts research-development activities integrated with industry, constantly developing, and it directs the sector with the knowledge production and educated engineers.
