Department of Animal Science

 

Animal Science is a science related to the production, feeding, and breeding of economically important animals. The aim of the department is to do research for healthy animal products from farm to table to improve the quality of life for the community and to train agricultural engineers with adequate knowledge and skills of the profession with universal qualities. Upon successful completion of a two-year education for Master of Science and four years for Ph.D., students are awarded the title of Higher Agricultural Engineer and Ph.D. in Animal Science. Our graduates have the opportunity to work under the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Livestock, agricultural research institutions, agricultural cooperatives, banks, and municipalities, and in firms related with agricultural production, import and export product sectors. In recent years, there is an increase in demands for agriculture engineers graduated by high education from the department of animal science. They also worked in poultry, dairy, beef, sheep and goat farms, feed production facilities and feed analysis laboratories, native and foreign private firms marketing products.
