Department of Field Crops

Field Crops Department began postgraduate education in the academic year of 1982-1983, doctorate education in the academic year of 1986-1987 affiliated to Trakya University Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences. At the time affiliated to Trakya Universtiy 106 postgraduate and 25 doctorate students have graduated from the department. Affiliated to Tekirdağ Namık Kemal Universtiy 86 postgraduate and 26 doctorate students have graduated from the department since 2006.

The Department of Field Crops, which carries out research and publication activities at national and international level with 12 Professor, 2 Associate Professor, 3 Assistant Professor and 3 Research Assistant, especially in Tekirdag and Thrace region to shed light on the problems of agricultural production;

Our graduates can work in Provincial and sub-provincial directorates of agriculture, research institutes, universities, factories where agricultural products are processed (flour, sugar, canned food, tomato paste, rice, fodder etc.), seed companies and fertilizers and pharmaceuticals, agricultural cooperatives. In addition, they provide services to the agricultural sector with the seed companies they established as entrepreneurs.
